Hi,

How safe is Hidrex? I mean it's connecting directly to the mains, how can we be assured that it's not going to give us electric shock?

The Hidrex Iontophoresis devices are safe. They are certified medical devices used in clinics all over the world. Why do you think they could be unsafe? Most of the medical devices are connected to the mains, e.g. EKG .

When building a German certified medical device, there is a need for a galvanic seperation, so the therapy current is independent or you may say not directly connected to the mains power.
Otherwise it would go up and down with the mains power if there is not a stable electric network.

OK thanks for the info. My question due to I'm used to battery based devices and feeling a bit scary plugging it direct to mains.

there are in my opinion only advantages when usingh a mains plugged iontophoresis unit, it is reliable when you need it (and not when the battereis are ready) and you dont have to replace expensive batteries. Even when treating hands and feet (with our devices you are able to do both at one time) the battereis run out very quickly, if they are really able to produce the current level you need to have when treating hands and feet together at a high level iontophoresis session.
