Is it on the metal plates , or the two wires , i havnt cleaned mine since a year mayb thats y i cant up the frequency , do i have to soak wires in alcohol nd vinegar too , the one side of the wire connectin to the plates ? Is cleanin the wire necessary ?

You can soak both: the electrodes and the cables,
but to do it only with electrodes should be fine also, as you .
