Hello,
1) Yes, the positive pole (the red one) is normally a little bit stronger than the negative (black one).
2) Yes, sometimes one electrodes has more patches or discolorations than the other.
3) Iontophoresis is a very individual therapy so the only way to find the best treatment settings is to try different parameters
(
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/how-to-adjust-the-perfect-pulsed-setting-for-hidrex-psp1000-t748.html
).
Normally it's recommended to treat with pulsed current (pulse width: from 50 to 90%), for the feet you could also try with direct current (pulse width: 100%), but only increasing the current very slowly. Please take a look at the following links:
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/iontophoresis-effectivity-of-pulsed-and-direct-current-t832.html
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/why-we-recommend-a-pc-machine-rather-than-a-dc-machine-t957.html
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/cases-when-direct-current-is-more-effective-than-pulsed-t833.html
The main important thing is: The therapy should never hurt! If you feel comfortable with the settings choosed, everything is fine. If the tingling sensetion is too strong or the skin seems to be irritated, that's a sign that the current is to high.
Generally it's good to
treat every day
(without breaks) until the sweat stops, then it's possible to start with the maintenance therapy, gradually reducing the frequency of the treatments:

Post subject: First treatment details and experience
Hi,
I have received my Hiidrex PSP 1000 machine today finally
.
I started the first Hands session for 15 minutes with Pulse width 70 and 20 Volts. Followed by Feet session for 15 minutes with Pulse Width 90 and 35 volts. The Feet session was fairly smooth and I am guessing I should try the next feet session with Pulse Width 100 and a higher volt since my feet seems to be capable of a higher current without much irritation.
1) I did feel some tingling sensation in the hand session when I tried to increase the current to 25 Volts but only in the Red electrode terminal. Did not feel much in the Black Electrode terminal. Is this normal?
2) Some white patches have appeared in the Black electrode terminal immediately after the first treatment was over. The red electrode has no discolouring. Is this normal?
3) Can you please recommend me the ideal Hand and Feet Pulse Width, time and volt settings for a new starter? Also how many days should I perform this initially? Is it safe to to performed everyday for about 15 minutes for say 2 weeks?
Looking forward for your earliest reply. Thanks.
