You are somehow right - the positive pole is the one that has a stronger effect when Iontophoresis works. This means: if it works the way it should, the positive side is "more dry".
This is why you may change the polarity after a week of treatment (or so).
The negative side is - like you mentioned in your headline - the side that is felt "not so heavily", but has more possible skin problems (if there are any; the - pole is the one wich provides more "possible" skin trouble).
