Hi,
For long-term users of iontophoresis, has anyone noticed the need to increase the current needed to stay dry after using iontophoresis for years? Like for the first 3 years 15mA is needed, then 18mA for the next 2 years, increasing as time goes by?
Thanks for the help! |

Having to bring more and more current to the skin after doing Iontophoresis for several years is not common. Normally the dosage you have to bring into the skin will differ from time to time.Sometimes you need more and sometimes you need less current to reach the wished for dryness level.
If you realise that you have to continually go up and up with the current, then normally the problem can be found elsewhere.
For example if you do not clean the electrodes frequently and they are dirty, or you have electrodes made of bad material, bad cables, bad connectors, or bad batteries (for battery driven Iontophoresis machines), this can all lead to a reduced current strength , which could make you think that you have to turn the dosage up continually. _________________ You are welcome...
