Hey,

My name's Adeel, I just recently received my idromed 5 pc device. Seems like the additional stainless steel electrodes I purchased with the device are not there. I did find a pair, I think they are the aluminum electrodes. I also sent an email about this issue.

Thanks

We saw your mail, we will ship the missing electrodes tomorrow, sorry about this mistake ! You can start the treatment with the Aluminum ones. I assume the electrodes you have are flat ones. If they are L-shaped then you have steel ones.

Yes they are flat, thank you very much. Also there was some mention of a edge protector. I don't seem to have it / know what it is. I don't know if it's necessary.

I did my first treatment already, selected 11 mA on hands, it seemed to have stopped itself at 10 mA. I did feel a very slight tingle at this setting.

Then I did 20 mA on the feet, barely felt the tingle.

I'm thinking about using the max settings from tomorrow on ward, is this okay?

Thank you for all your help.

edit: also one more thing, should i expect the sweating to get worse before it stops/gets better? I have a test soon so I'm just wondering, haha.

As long as the skin is ok and you don't feel pain there is nothing against increasing the current.

What do you mean with "edge protector" ?
I do not know what this could be....

The sweating can get worse in the beginning of Iontophoresis, but normally it does not increase the sweating.

In the manual it says make sure you have "2x edge protector" I have no clue what this is, there is no picture that shows what it is. I believe it goes on the case. If it's not necessary it's okay.

edit:

Also, I've noticed one of the aluminum electrodes has an imprint of my hand on it now. I've read that discolouration is normal, does this happen with the stainless steel plates as well?

The odd thing is that only 1 of the 2 electrodes got this imprint, the other one does not. The one that got imprint of my hand was the one with the 'negative cable'. I've read that the positive cable is stronger, so I find this strange. If you could explain why this is happening / if it's normal I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

Protectors: They look like a part of packing material, so maybe you have thrown them away?
And the imprints are normal and occur more on the negative electrode...

The edge protectors are the gray pieces of foam that rest on the side of the plastic case. It allows you to comfortably rest your wrists/arms on the plastic casing while your hands are in the water. Otherwise, without the gray edge protectors, your wrists/arms would have red creases.
