Hi,
I bought the DC machine 2.5 years ago. It worked good for me.
Now, I can't suffer the pain during the treatment because the current
make me small cuts.I rub Nivea cream and put on socks but it still
pain. The Max. current I can stand is 10mA.
Now, I am thinking of buy the PC machine and I wanted to ask:
1. Is it really less painfull ?
2. Will it dry my feet as the DC did ?
3. Can I use higher current ?
I must add that my sweating is severe and when I am not using the machine
my feet are dripping !
I will gladly hear from your experience with the PC machine.
Thanks,
N.

Hi Nir, as we write on every one of our pages - we are absolutely the opinion that Pulsed iontophoresis current wins miles over the direct current:

1. Is it really less painfull ?
yes, or else a Pulsed Current device would make no sense.
2. Will it dry my feet as the DC did ?
yes, or else a Pulsed Current device would make no sense.
3. Can I use higher current ?
yes, or else a Pulsed Current device would make no sense.

much more under --> https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/iontophoresis-pulsed-current-better-than-direct-current-t139.html

I must add that my sweating is severe and when I am not using the machine my feet are dripping !

Wether the sweating is severe or only light has no effect on the function of Iontophoresis.

I am currently trying out (renting) a DC unit (RA Fischer MD-1) and it is causing blisters and moderate discomfort and after 7 treatments at 15ma hasn't stopped the sweating, so I am considering trying the PC (Hidrex or Idromed), but am concerned that I have read it isn't as effective on severe sweating. Is this the case? I am also not sure which unit would be better to buy if I decide to go this route.

This is not true. I can bet that with pc you can use full power with less skin irritations and more success with smoother current feel - believe me, try it, or send it back, I am sure you will love it! DC is for hardliners.
As I know that you can get a professional pc for the same price as the dc you have now, i would not think about it more than a minute.

Thanks for the advice. The PC is a but more costly but it sounds like it may be worth it. Would you recommend the Hidrex or the Idromed?

That depends on what you like / prefer or what you want to treat.

Iontophoresis machine

Here is some more information concerning pulsed to direct current:

Why is pulsed iontophoresis better?

Concerning the new PSP1000 from Hidrex (maybe some information is dated at the moment, because Hidrex has updated the PS500).
I would say: because of the fact thatyou can set the pulsating iontophoresis current in relationship from 50% to 90% in 10% steps, you can adjust the current itself not only in intensity but, also in its' smoothness, this is a real cool feature. At 50% the current is the smoothest you can choose with this iontophoresis machine, with 90% you have the strongest possible pulsed current, and when you go to 100 you have a pulse with zero, that means pure direct current. You can treat facial sweating or underarm sweat with 50%, hands for example with 70% and feet with 90%.
If you want an easy iontophoresis setup routine the Idromed wins over the Hidrex, not only for the optic, but also for the aibility to set the correlation of pause and pulse, the Hidrex has really made a real cool and "well thought out" iontophoresis machine.

DC stands for direct current iontophoresis machine, this describes the kind of current it is.

Hi, I just read this post and just wanted to share my experience. I to have severe dripping sweaty feet while not using machine. I also started out with the dc machine because I really didnt think it would work for me because nothing else ever did. So I went with the cheaper choice. I used the dc machine for over a year with 100% success but not without pain & a good bit of time. I then traded in dc for pc. The new machine took me a few weeks to learn what settings worked best for me but I now have less pain & less time using it. I am very pleased with the switch & would recommend to everyone. I have posted more on this if your interested.

Daily praying for a cure.

Yes, pulsed current is much smoother and not as painful as the direct current!
Lorie, thank you very much for telling us your experience! Smile

Dear lorie,
Would you please give me (and all other users) a full update of how it is with pulsating compared to direct iontophoreiss current? Since you've tried both idromed machines, you could give others a helping hand in deciding whichis the best machine for treating sweating.

https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/success-board-f2.html

I would love to hear something from you. In my eyes it is very important to treat with pulsating current for the best treatment feeling and a maximum iontophoresis impact....

Thanks in advance... markus
