Hello,
I am about to add a dental implant (for the first time) and since it is made out of metal, I was wondering if this will affect my hand treatment.
Thank you |

Dear Moni, the hand treatment should not be affected, since the implant is not directly in the current flow. If you were to treat your face, that's a different story.
If you're unsure, you can consult your doctor for medical advice. _________________ You are welcome...

Hello again
It took a few years but I finally put the implant this week and today I tried to do my treatment for the first time after the implant. I just wanted to let you know of my findings, just for info.
While before I was using 40 V/mA, i had to decrease it back to 32 V. The sensation of the 32 V was the same as If I had the 40V. Now I am not sure how effective my treatment will be now that I use less power, but I will try if for the next few weeks and come back with feedback.
Another thing that preoccupies me somehow is the potential risk of causing corrosion to the implant over time. I read a few articles online regarding dental implants and effects with palmar iontophoresis, however, I am not sure how substantiated they are.
I guess I will find out from personal experience |

When treating hands (also feet) dental implants are not in the direct curent flow
Why should this affect ma settings?
When having breaks, it is normal that you can only set up lower current settings
What do you want to say? You feel the current in the implant? I don’t believe it is a real thing.
Sometimes our mind play games with us…
Implants who are not directly in the current circle or the current flow, are no contraindications |
