I am about to add a dental implant (for the first time) and since it is made out of metal, I was wondering if this will affect my hand treatment.

Dear Moni, the hand treatment should not be affected, since the implant is not directly in the current flow. If you were to treat your face, that's a different story.
If you're unsure, you can consult your doctor for medical advice.
