Hello,
I have been doing iontophoresis sessions successfully for years (at least 7 years).
Lately, I checked my supposedly stainless steel plates and found lots of little holes that I had never noticed. The question that arises: where have these heavy metals gone: nickel, chromium ... which are neurotoxic? Certainly in my body!

It all started with strange symptoms: anxiety, sleep disorders, pain in the arms and forearms, tremors in the left hand ...

I saw a neurologist for the tremors and he suspected heavy metal poisoning. He prescribed me an MRI which I will have soon to make sure.

Why is no one talking about this risk and serious side effects of iontophoresis?

I pass my MRI crossing my fingers so that my brain and liver are not affected by these heavy metals, because it seems that sometimes some damage is irreversible

We had this discussion years back and there some worrywarts made a big problem about this and wanted to check if there is a heavy metal poisoning - with no results.

Sometimes there are spots from the production and you clean them after use
Assuming: If there would be
a loose metal in the water: metal is weighty and surly sinks to the bottom of the trays, also they were cleaned frequently

- so why and how should metal go into your liver or brain?

There is no clinical evidence of the toxicity of stainless steel - so many clinical applications use this material.

A metal poisoning with Crome or Nickle is only knon in very rare cases wit huge doses and most of them corelate in mining, for the diggers.

Just go ahead and google this and also keep in mind that the symptoms that you are talking about have no analogy with the symptoms you are takling about from these metals and your assumed poisoning.

Why is there no discussion?
From the fact that up to date maybe half a million users of iontophoresis have had no toxic effectssince the last 50 years - thisaswers a for me ridiculous question.

However we love to hear from your results - not that someone is anxious from your conclusions - and check back also other possibilities for the symptoms you are takling about.

Hello,
Thank you for your clear and precise answer.
I finally had the Brain MRI yesterday and it is normal. There is no evidence of heavy metal poisoning or other abnormalities.
My hand tremors are finally essential tremors.
My neurologist also confirmed that iontophoresis cannot present any risk of heavy metal intoxication.
I am happy to be able to resume my ionophoresis sessions quietly because I do not want to add the problem of sweating to the tremor problem. My hands won't be of much use to me anymore. Knowing that I like manual work a lot: painting, crafts...

I agree, sometimes it is hard to identify.
