My son started treatment with the Idromed 5PS about 2 months ago. We have hard well water with lots of iron in it. Our tap water is soften water. He began treatment with well water and did not have good results. We added baking soda ( a few teaspoons) and he finally felt some good tinging (at 25mamps for feet) and had very good results. That lasted about 2 weeks, and since then he has not felt much tingling, and has had much less control of his sweating. We have tried different concentrations of baking soda and well water, and even baking soda and tap water, but we have not been able replicate the good results we once had.

After reading other posts, it seems that other people have found inconsistencies also.

It also seems that the more tingling Walter feels, the better the treatment outcome.

Our question is: How high can you increase the miliamps before you risk burn? Can we go up higher than the 25 miliamps? Can we increase it until he feels the tingling? It seems that we won't be able to find a good water mix. It's very frustrating. Anyone with any other suggestions?

Please give us some advice. Thanks

Hello MLongo,

Can you please answer the questions under the following link and open a new post under 'Active Problems'? We need a bit more Information. https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/no-limited-success-after-3-weeks-as-stated-in-the-manual-t81.html

The Idromed can't go higher than 25mA. If it could, it wouldn't be legal and very dangereous.
Feeling the tingling is surely a sign that the current is passing, but it has nothing to do with the results of the therapy. Although many believe that it will work only if they feel the tingle . It is usual that in the beginning you feel the tingling more, and after a while, when the Body gets used to it, you don't feel it as much or at all. I'm sure the less control of his sweating is due to other reasons and has nothing to do with the tingle. This is why I need you to answer the questions under the link above, so that I can have a better overview of the whole therapy procedure from the beginning until today.

Thanks!
