Hello,
Thank you for your interest.
In the following posts you can find some further information about the difference between direct and pulsed current:

You are welcome!

We always recommend taking a PULSED CURRENT (PC) device, even for feet treatment and specially for hands or/and armpits treatment, nevertheless in very few cases direct current is more effective than pulsed current:
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/cases-when-direct-current-is-more-effective-than-pulsed-t833.html
That's why we also offer direct current devices.

The advantage with a PC device is that pulsed current allows much more confortable therapy and allows to reach higher current settings (which normally lead to better and faster results) without pain or skin irritations. The Hidrex PSP 1000 and the Idromed 5 PS are suitable for almost everyone, also sensitive people and children.

After the treatment, it may be good to use a cream to mantain the skin in optimal condition. As some creams can affect the Iontophoresis results, we would suggest to take the special after care lotion: Current Care.

I hope this helps!

Good morning!!!
first thanks for your help.
Now I see what is the most suitable system for my daughter (15 year old palm/feet problem): Pulsed Current.
Between the hidrex ps1000 and the idromed 5pc, which one is the best with that system?
because I see hidrex could have the two options.
I copy from the "international hyperhidrosis society" web:
"Some phisicians and their patinens have had great success treating swaty palms and seaty feet by adding a crushed anticholinergic tablet to the water usesd during the iotophoresis".
Do you also recommend it?
I am looking also the machines from RA Ficher, and I see they have only the DC system, I copy:
** Digital self-regulating DC current for precise treatment
My daugther was operated last october and it did not work so i have to look for the best machine on the market.
You do not konw how much I appreciate your attention!!!!

Hello,

We definitely recommend a Pulsed Current machine. In your daughters case, since she is still very young and the skin more sensitive, maybe the Hidrex PSP 1000 would be better, since this machine allows you to adjust the pulsed current at 5 different levels and within each one of this levels, you can adjust the strength of the pulsed current itself. Whereas the Idromed 5 PC has just one level of pulsed current (in which you can also adjust the strength.)
We do not recommend adding anything to the water.

Feature ... Idromed 5 PC ... Hidrex PSP1000
PC (adjustable up to mA) ... 25 mA at 72 Volt ... 30 mA at 60 Volt
DC (adjustable up to mA) ... ... 30 mA at 60 Volt

Hello!!!
regarding the pc feature, would you mind pls telling me what does it mean those figures?
I copy from your web:
It is easy to say that the best device we have available is our "pulsed current" unit. The Idromed 5 PS
but you suggested me the Idromed unit.
I am a little confused.
waiting for your comments.
thanks thanks.....

Well, both machines are the best ones. Of course she can also take the Idromed 5 PC. I just meant that maybe the Hidrex would be better, because the pulsed current can be regulated in a more flexible way than with the Idromed. But all in all, I would recommend either one of the machines. They are both excellent.

The features with mA and Volt are just technical characteristics and show how the machines are built. But even if they seem to be different, at the end, the power which comes out is the same.

Dear support!!!
sorry for answering so many times...
If the Hidrex is much complete, why is cheaper?
The Hidrex could be used as DC also?
I have found another provider: FISCHER, mod. Galvanic MD2:
** Digital self-regulating DC current for precise treatment
It seems is a DC but with the option of being regulated.
to which of yours could it be compared?
thanks for your help

You're welcome.
The Hidrex PSP 1000 is still a little bit cheaper because the producer wanted to launch its innovative machine, but probably the price will increase in the near future.
Yes, the Hidrex can be driven either in direct current or in pulsed current mode with different pulse width settings, depending of which area you have to treat.
The Idromed 5 PS and the Hidrex PSP 1000 are the most powerful devices on the market, so it's almost impossible to compare one of them to another device.
With every device it's possible to regulate the current settings, that's nothing special. More important is the type of current that you can regulate: DC (direct current) or PC (pulsed current).
Every person needs a certain current level to achieve success. If with a DC device you feel pain already at very low settings it will be difficult or even impossible to reach that current that is necessary to stop the excessive sweating. With a PC device it's normally much more easier to stand higher current settings, which lead to better and faster results.
May I ask which parts should be treated?

Really grateful for your support!!!
My daugther main problem is hands, also feet have wet.
We live in Barcelona so we will not have to change any power supply.
When buying the device, do we have any kind of on-line support to instal the machine and to know which treatment should she follow??
Thanks much for all!!!!
