What are the effects of the Hidrex PSP1000, if you don't use the towels?

Is it more effective (just need hands)?

Also, what is the maximum current we can go up to for our hands?

You will get burns from the current because the skin is then in direct contact to the metal, never do this !!! Because some Iontophoresis machines out there are low powered they may not require a distance. But ours are different. Also the current is spread much better with a distance...

The maximum is highly variable: it's what you can tolerate without problems or pain.
