Hello!
I use 100%, 20 min, 30 mA treatment for hands. It is highly effective in my case (PSP 1000). However, treatment affects the skin in unusual manner - sometimes small white points appear after the treatment. They are small solid white balls with diameter less than 1mm. Moreover, they are sometimes painful so I have to postpone treatment until they fully disappear. There are not so many of them, just several and they appear occasionally on different parts of treated skin.
What is the nature of these balls? May ionto somehow produce long run skin problems due to continuing usage of electricity (affecting reproduction of skin cells?) ?

Hello!

It's great to hear that Iontophoresis works also in your case!

Please note that we always recommend to treat with pulsed current (if you use a 100% pulse width, you have direct current). Pulsed current is much smoother and not as painful as direct current. If the current is too strong, the skin can be affected and get irritated.

Please take a look at the following links:

https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/iontophoresis-effectivity-of-pulsed-and-direct-current-t832.html

Probably, if you change the pulse width, the white balls on your skin will disappear.

Thank you very much. The links helped me to understand the process better. I will try higher current but lower pulse rate. I thought that the pulse increases efficiency.

You're welcome!
A higher pulse width can increase efficiency, but normally it's better to treat with pulsed current (50%-90%). With pulsed current it's easier to maintain the skin in good condition (without side effects). Of course, Iontophoresis is a very individual therapy so everyone has to find his best treatment settings by trial and error.
Please keep us updated! Smile
