I have been using the Idromed 5 PC iontophoresis for 16 days now on my feet and have had only minimal results. Also, for some reason my left foot is sweating more than my right even though I have switched the polarities every 4 days as the manual suggests. Am I doing something wrong that this hasn't worked? I started by doing it for 15 mins each day at about 20 mA, and soon I brought it up to 25 mA (I barely feel the current even at 25 mA). After two weeks I started increasing the treatment time to 30 mins each day because it didn't seem to be helping. Today I did it for 45 minutes but my feel are still not dry. I have been filling the trays up with about 4 cm of water so it covers the sides of my feet as much as possible. Is that too high?
Am I doing something incorrectly that the Idromed has not worked yet?
Please help!
Thank you |

I have not moved but have been taking a couple of medications that I wasn't before. Could those affect the success of treatment?
I have continued using it on 25 mA for half an hour a day with less water, and the sweating seems to be getting better - on the bottom the front of my feet are dry but the middle and back still get damp. I am going to continue treating them and will hopefully achieve full dryness.
Also, is there a reason my right foot is much drier than my left, if I have been switching the polarities every four days?
Thank you |

Medications can very much affect Iontophoresis .
Keep on doing it at least 2 weeks - because after 1-2 days no one can say anything.
Now maybe it is a good idea to NOT change polarity because the one foot sweats less, in this case lay the + pole to the foot that sweats more. _________________ You are welcome...

I would consider in order to maintain a lower water level and treat your whole foot, wear socks while doing the treatment. I fill the trays up to 800 mL, and wear socks; it works fine. |
