Should I press firmly my palms on the plastic barrier or I can relax my palms as long as they are under water? Pressing firmly make my hands tired quickly.

Hi the device works well for my palm, but the finger tips still a bit sweaty.
Do you know how to improve it? Also, to maintain the dryness, what's the best frequence? once a week?
