Safe is the maximum current the device can deliver in any region of the body. The danger of burns is much higher when going beyond this rates.

OK I think I understand now!

I have another question - what is the maximum safe current to treat hands and feet? I read in another post where you have stated -

"15 mA for sweaty hands
(because parts of the current will flow over the heart regions too, but not as much as for sweaty armpits)

25 mA for sweaty feet
(beyond this, the current can be dangerous, especially for the heart - and can cause burns and other side effects)"

However other people seem to be using current levels higher than these values. Is it safe to go over 15ma when treating hands and 25ma when treating feet?

Pulse mode has another measurement method, so the state 0 is included in this, but it depends on the person who treats with it...

Yes sure 30 mA are 30 mA , so the factor is still the same

example: factor ,5 mA per volt

38 Volts are the equivalent for the Idromed 19 mA, but the idromed has 72 Volts, so the real equivalent is factor 20% lower, hope this is not too complicated.

Sorry I am a little confused...

So it is the same current output per volt (0.58ma per Volt) regardless of whether im using DC mode or Pulsed mode?

Also why does Pulsed mode only go up to a maximum of 38 volts?

(max current 30ma) / (maximum voltage 60v) = 0.58ma per volt

Pulsed Curent -

(max current around 20 mA- mostly it is 38 Volt max. -depends on the user) / maximum voltage 60v) = 0.5ma per volt

it is the same per volt but 0,5*38 V = 19 mA

Hi Markus,

Can you please tell me how to calculate the current output (as the Hridrex display shows volts not current) when using the Hidrex in pulsed current mode.

Direct Current -

(max current 35 ma) / (maximum voltage 60v) = 0.58ma per volt

Pulsed Curent -

(max current ??ma) / maximum voltage 60v) = ??ma per volt

Thanks
