Theoretically not: https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/hidrex-treatment-copper-iud-t1220,highlight,iud.html
but we have to reaffirm that it's important to get the doctor's opinion.

I've asked my doctor before and she didn't know for sure. Where can I ask though? Is the IUD in the way of the current when treating hands?

I´ve been doing iontophoresis at home for my hands for around 5 years, but now want to try the copper coil as a contraception. Looked around and found that IUDs are contraindicated for the iontophoresis treatment.

- Does it mean I have to stop the treatment?
- What would happen if I continue with the treatment with a copper coil?
- How does the electric current work for iontophoresis for the hands?
- Is there a way to prevent the electric current from going down to where the copper coil is?
