Hi,

The best thing would be to discuss this with your doctor!

Hello after long time, support!

After realizing the treatment and not achieve a completely dry hands ( but a partial dryness), I'm gonna do tomorrow the treatment of putting Botox in the palms. But considering that this operation is not 100% effective treatment, I'd like to ask you if I can do my iontophoresis treatment while I have botox in the palms.
Maybe iontophoresis treatment and the operation with botox are supported/compatible (and there's no adverse effect) and that's why I wanna ask you. Question

Thank you for your attention.

If you feel the tingling in your whole hands, then increasing the current is not a good idea... the only thing that you could do then, is prolonging the treatment time or increasing the treatment frequency.
After the skin has gotten used to the current it is normally not a problem to do it like this, but in your case, I would continue the whole of next week with your schedule to see if it's okay...

1- Can I keep doing the therapy more times after reaching 15 sessions/days or I have to do your advices (increase the current or prolong the treatment times) only the next week?

I'm asking this because I have read in other wbesites that the overuse of treatment has the opposite effect of Iontophoresis and even can increase sweat. Is it true? If it's not true I'd do the treatment also this week

2- Another question: if I increase the current for my hands at 17-18 Am levels, do you think that's enough or would be more effective to increase it more?

the level of each tray, as I told you before, it's 400ml and I feel the tigling sensation in whole hand (palms and fingers)
Thank you very much

After some days, I am sure you will reach 100% dryness.it takes some time for some users to get Iontophoresis to work, if you do not reach a dryness level that is sufficent for you, let's say within the next week then you have two options first one is raising the current or prolonging the treatment times according to:
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/introduction-to-iontophoresis-initial-treatment-t326.html

If you want you can send through the answers for the following questions:
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/no-limited-success-after-3-weeks-as-stated-in-the-manual-t81.html

Also would be useful for us to know exactly where you feel the tingling sensation and how high the water is in the trays

I wish you good luck you're welcome

Good afternoon!

I have got dryness on my hands during this weekend, but not 100% , just 80% (When I was sweating, whole hand sweaty including palms and fingers). But my question is based on that I dont know if I have to keep doing the treatment to improve the percentage of dry. Here you have the sessions of Idromed I have done during these days to reach the 15 sessions (Although several days I made double session I dont have any skin wound ) :

13/4: 16Am and 16 Am
14/4: 16 Am
15/4: 15Am and 15Am
16/4: 15 Am and 14Am
17/4: 15Am
18/4: I couldnt do it
19/4: 15Am

What would you recommend me to do to improve dryness ?

Hi,
Maybe it will just take more time in your case...
During the Initial therapy it's very important to treat every day! If you feel comfortable with the intensity, you don't have to change it, just listen to your body.
Again, when did you start to treat with only tap water?

Well, sometimes I'm doing it twice a day

Yes, 15 minutes/day during two weeks... but as you say, I couldn't do the treatment during 2/4 and 5/4. I have just done the treatment with only tap water, no additions.

But if the change of the water doesn't cause the dryness on my hands, I don't know what else i can do..:change the intensity of the treatment and do it with lower "Am"

Hi,

Normally it's not necessary to use water additions:
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/water-additions-for-iontophoresis-t530.html
You're still treating once a day for 15 minutes?
I've noticed that the 2/4 and 5/4 are missing, so you did a break, right?
it's normally ok to feel a slight tingling sensation, but the therapy should always be comfortable.

Hello,
I have done the initial treatment (15 consecutive days of treatment) and now it's my twelfth dayof treatment. I put less water than before (now 400ml on each tray) and I'm using tap water with some baking soda but I still don't have dryness in my hands. I dont know what I have to do, but it's my mistake to not use tapwater since 8th day of treatment.
The days and intensity of treatment:
1/4: 11Am and 12Am
3/4: 9 AM
4/4: 14 Am
6/4: 15 Am
7/4: 14 Am
8/4: 13Am
9/4: 15AM
10/4: 15 Am
11/4: 16 Am and 16 Am
12/4: 16Am and 16Am
13/4: 16 Am

I'm feeling the tigling sensation when I use tap water with and intensity of 16Am, so maybe I'd have to keep doing..
And another question: Should I use baking soda due to hardness of tap water or using this high intensity (16aM) it's more than enough? Thanks, support

Hello,
Normally, the less water, the better.
Just the palms should be in the water, as you can See in the following video:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bwnykZh2_KQ
If you want to exclude some parts from the treatment, for example some dry spots on the palms, you can cover them with a cream like Niveau Blue before starting the session.
Have you already tried using normal tap water? Maybe it's ok!
Just give us an update in a few days please. Smile

I swear in the fingertips (but maybe it's the reaction of doing the treatment like playing the piano the first 4 times) a lot with an intenity of 8Am in each session.
How many times I have to use the treatment on my tips (like playing the piano)? Should I put more water in each tray (like 600ml-700ml)?

I have the palms very dry and their skin falls (but no blisters or injuries), but I dont swearing a lot from that part, just a little bit (I have to use creme, but never before the treatment...it's a creme of the company Apivita, handcare, cream for dry-chaped hands with hypericum & beeswax).
I'd say that swearing on the palms have been reduced in 70-80% (I think that I have been using the intensity so high and that's why my palm skin falls, maybe my optimal intensity it's around 10-11 Am)

The treatment doesnt hurt me, just a small tingling in the treated area. If it's hurts one finger I pull my finger out of the water. At this moment, I'm just treating my hands.

I have put 600ml of bottled water in each tray.

I don't take any oral medication, I'm just taking a milkshake carbohydrates (which contains: dextrose, oatmeal, coca powder, whey protein concretrate, creatine monohydrate, soy lecithin, chocolate flavor, sweetener, sodium chloride and vitamin B6).

Thanks for your replay Smile

PostPosted: Thu Apr 02, 2015 3:07 pm    Post subject: No satisfactory results after 3 weeks

Hello, I'm Michael from Spain.
I have bought Idromed 5 PS, but after 3 weeks my hands are still sweating.
I have done the treatment daily the first two weeks (sometimes twice or just one time per day) increasing the intensity from 8 Am the early days to 15 Am the last days. I have always used bottled water (the watermark is: Aigua de Ribes; weak mineralization) because the drinking water of my home (Barcelona) it's heavily mineralized.
After reaching the 2 weeks doing the treatment, the skin of my hands has begun to fall so I had to put moisturizer (I think that happens because of the level of intensity, 14-15 Am).
We're in the middle of my third week of treatment, and during this week I have done the treatment four times on the tips of my hands (intensity of 8 am with the position like playing the piano) and two times in the palms (11 Am, to prevent dry skin) but I'm still sweating (in less quantity than when I started the treatment).

I'm changing the polarization of the poles every day, so one day I have the positive pole on the right hand and the next day I have it on the next day. However, when I use the treatment twice a day I also change the polarization. Do you think I don't have to change the polarization every day? (just every five days?)

- I have never used Iontophoresis before.
-I'm still feeling that the current is present (even if I reach 11 Am in the third week of treatment
-My lifestyle: I'm doing exercise everyday (athletics and sport in gym). I'm smokin weed or marijuana before going to sleep, but I'm not smoking tobacco). Apart from smoking marijuana, I practice a type of healthy life.
-I have pointed the days I've done the treatment and the intensity: (always 15 minutes per session)

9th of March: 2 sessions (7Am and 8 Am)
10th March: 2 sessions (7Am and 9 Am)
11/3: 2 sessions (8Am and 8Am)
12/3: 10 Am
13/3: 11 Am
14/3: 12 Am
15/3: 13 Am and 13 Am
16/3: 14 Am and 14 Am
17/3: 15 Am
18/3: 15 Am
19/3: 15 Am
20/3: 15Am
21/3: 15 Am
22/3: 2 Sessions (15Am both)
23/3: 15 Am

1/4: 2 sessions of 8 Am (changing polarization, as I have always done)

Waiting for your reply, I need your help. Thanks for all.
