- Our iontophoresis machines
meet strict German safety standards. They have high level electronic safety features which prevent the risk of electrocution built into the devices. Normally there is no risk of electric shocks (in only 1-2 cases has happened that someone experienced a light electric fence effect).

- For hands/feet treatment you only need the standard set with aluminium electrode plates (you also can choose the extra stainless steel elctrodes, in this case you will pay additional 30 € and get 4 electrodes) If you do not suffer from any allergy against nickel or chrome, we recommend buying the stainless steel electrodes. Stainless steel does not need to be cleaned as often as the aluminium electrodes and the cleaning itself is a lot easier. Stainless steel is also more robust and resistant to dirt and calcium deposits than aluminium. I can`t tell you how long they last exactly, but they`re made to last very, very long!
- The Idromed 5 PS has a 4-year warranty!

Few questions:

1) Since this device uses electricity instead of batteries, how safe is it and is there any risk of electricution, even if it may be very rare?

2) Is it necessary to keep buying pads and/or plates (I will only be treating my hands)? If so, about how long do they last and how much do they cost?

3) Is there a manufacturers warranty in case the product ever breaks (in addition to the 8-week money back gaurantee)?
