FYI -- When I took Drionic (a bad quality machine) with me in my carry-on, they made me open the machine and even remove the plastic from the back to see inside (since you can remove the back of the Dronic). Four airport staff gathered around and couldn't believe that this machine was harmless! They finally let me go, but after a lot of hassle.

I would take the instruction manual with me, so when there are questions pertaining to this device, you can explain using the manual. Up to now I have never heard about problems with iontophoresis units and traveling by airplane. And remember, I ship these devices worldwide almost everyday, and they all go via plane, so there is no need to worry.

Hey, Markus..I noticed you had posted this awhile ago. Is it still the same case with most airlines these days?? I'm worried airport security will take it from me. Does anyone know what the best plan of action is when traveling with the device?

This no problem. You can take your iontophoresis device everywhere with you, but I recommend that you take it as "carry-on baggage", so that it is not treated roughly like "checked-in luggage" often is. I don´t think you will get any hassle for carrying the device with you, because it is only a medical device. For your convenience, however, also take the manual with you, in case there is someone who wants to know what the machine is.

I flew once without any problem, and many users have done the same.

will be travelling by air from US to Germany. I want to carry my Idromed PS with me. From security standpoint, do you know if it is better to leave it in carry-on baggage or check-in baggage? Will I get pulled over for carrying it on the plane?
Thanks!
