Hello,
No, please do not wet the cable!!! There is no need to put so much water in the trays, in fact, the lower the water level, the better it is for your success. If you sweat on the top of your feet, there are other ways to treat those areas, without having to increase the water level.
Yes, we do. They do not show in the shop, but you can just order this
Stepup Adapter
and write in the comments filed that you don't want to have the adapter, but pair fo distance grids instead.
The ergonomic treatment trays are not larger or deeper than the carrying cases. They work with any machine.

Post subject: Questions for older Idromed 4
I have an older model Idromed4
-when using the flat shape electrode, is it OK to wet the cable? I need to put a large amount of water to adequately cover my feet.
-Do you sell the distance grid as a spare part?
-The Ergonomic Comfort Tub, is this larger, deeper than the standard carry case and does it work with an Idromed 4?
