Hi Olga, do you experience any allergies to metal? If yes, the stainless steel electrodes could be the problem. Try pouring less water into the tubs too. It’s possible that the current is a bit too high or that you’re conducting too many sessions, skin irritations can be a result of overtreatment. So try a lower current, a lower water level or fewer treatment sessions if you don’t have any metal allergies.
Disinfecting and cleaning the machine may be the best idea to see if it will work for you. Good luck!

Hi Olga, try the following:
If you still have the aluminium electrodes, conduct the treatment with them instead of the stainless steel electrodes.
Also, please disinfect the tubs, grids, electrodes to make sure they’re all clean. You can use boiling hot water to clean the grids and tubs.
These are useful info. Thank you.

I only have steel plates. I dont have allergies to metal. I will try cleaning and lower current alternatives and fewer sessions.
Thanks for your prompt response

Post subject: Skin issue after 10 years of successful treatment
Hello
I live in Colombia and I’ve been successfully using Idromed 5 PC since ten years ago. Six months ago, started an issue in my right hand (like a dermatitis/cracks spot at the base of my thumb) when I use the machine and stops when I don’t. I try using Nivea blue as always did, pain reduces but it still hurts. I wait few days until the skin is healed and restart the therapy and the issue appears again. Currently I treat 2 weeks to get dry and then once/twice a week, 10 mA max.
Do you know similar cases? Could it be related to the old stainless steel plates? The machine is in good condition except since last week it's difficult to power it on because the green light led goes OFF unless I press or hold the plug in a certain position. I'm considering buying a new adapter but maybe I need to buy plates also.
Please advice.
Thanks!
Olga
