Post subject: How often do you have to replace the trays or alum. plates?
Aluminum does not oxidize, so they do not need to be replaced.
You just have to clean them, when they get "patina". They are easy to clean and look like new after cleaning.
If you want to keep the trays in perfect condition, you can use better plastic trays from your local household supply store.
