I would like to purchase the Hidrex for my 8 year old daughter, but how do I know if she has a nickel or chrome allergy? We have never had an issue with it before. I would like to get the stainless steel electrodes, but I am not sure how to tell if she would be allergic or not. What would happen if we got the stainless steel electrodes and she was allergic? What would be the effect? Thanks!
If there was no issue before it would be surprising if she has one ... Nickel and Chromium are also in most of the buttons, so if you never had problems with buttons of pants or cheap jewelry, you can be sure that you are not allergic to this.

Post subject: Iontophoresis Electrodes -- Aluminum or Stainles Steel?
What is up with the difference in stainless steel versus aluminum electrodes for iontophoresis units?
First, if you have no nickel or chrome allergy, then we recommend using the stainless steel electrodes. They are much easier to clean and they don't get Patina so fast, so there is good current flow for a long time.
Our standard electrodes are made with aluminum.
The price for this "extra" is stated in the shop when going to the product pages, where you can choose it as an option.
