Hi. I bought the Idromed 5 PC about a year ago for use in the UK and therefore ordered the AC adapter that has a UK-type plug. I'm now moving to the US and have seen that you have a step-up transformer, but I still have the following questions: 1. To avoid the hassle of connecting the AC adapter on top of the step-up transformer (both quite bulky items), do you have a single AC adapter that would take 110V and deliver 24V to the Idromed device? 2. If the answer to the previous questions i no, do you have a step-up transformer that will accept a UK-type plug? The one on your website seems to accept only european-type plugs. Will it be ok to use something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Step-Voltage-Converter-110V-230V/dp/B000LB3HL2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1351615178&sr=8-4 3. Aside from the voltage consideration, the AC frequency in the US is 60Hz... will this have an impact the device's performance, as it is designed for 50Hz? Thanks for your help!
Yes, you're right. You will need a step-up transformer but this is only compatible with the EU-Plug.
In this case you will have to order the following parts:
https://www.iontodevice.com/sweating/iontophoresis/step-up-transformator-110-to-240-v-2.html
https://www.iontodevice.com/sweating/iontophoresis/mains-plug-idromed.html
Please note that if you use an other stepup converter, we can't maintain the guarantee for the whole device.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
