I am 16 years of age. My parents bought the Idromed pc device from you in December 2009. So far it has only resulted in limited success.
I began daily treatments of 15 minutes for hands and feet together and then armpits. I did this daily for 15 consequtive days then every second day for 9 days and since then every third day (now 6 occassions).
I have been doing the hands and feet separately since day 12 (of 31 sessions to date).
Feet have been reasonably successful while hands have reverted back to the way they had been - sweating from palms, fingertips and sides! Armpits have not been good either.
I have always filled the trays right up to the top - not sure if this is correct?
I also wonder if perhaps I went from 15 minutes every day with 15 volts (hands) to 2 days and then 3 days apart too quickly - i.e. before I had reached a state ready for maintenance?
I have always done it for just 15 minutes (hands), 15 minutes feet, 15 minutes armpits per day and then every second day and then every third day.
The sweating is worse when I am at school compared to at home. I really want this to work. I do hope you can help me.

Dear Sandy, no problem, I am sure we get this to work.
The water is much too high for your purpose, clarify with this:
https://www.iontodevice.com/hyperhidrosis/how-high-shall-i-fill-in-the-water-in-the-trays-t145.html
It seems that your hands and feet and armpits need a lot of current and more time to get dry.
On going with a daily treatment of a max.-
if you can stand it with no skin irritations and pain you could try:
25 mA for feet alone treatment 15-better 30 min
25 mA for hands alone treatment 15-better30 min.
For the armpits try using a max of 5 mA level (secure level stated by the manufacturer)
If you do this for 3 weeks without improvement, you can get back to me.
Or ,when you have success immediately, please reply with a post on this topic, then we can take a look if we can go back to on going treatments for the hands and feet together.
The fact that it is worse, shows that it is maybe a heavy mental problem for you, this will disapear when you start having success, dont worry .. _________________ You are welcome...

Dear markus
I am getting back to you with feedback about the regimen that you recommended to me with higher settings and lower levles of water in the tray. It has been 14 days now since I began with your recommendations.
Firstly, there was an almost immediate response with hands and feet normalized after a week of this treatment. It has however been hard on the hands causing burns/blisters.
The question is how long do I need to maintain this daily routine of 30 mins hands, 30 mins feet and 30 mins arm-pits as it takes up a lot of time in my school day. When will it be possible to do it either less often or for less time?
Another question I have is that in 2 weeks time I am going to America for 8 days and so shall not be able to undergo the treatments during that time. Will it be okay just to resume staright after returning?
I wanted to let you know about the response to your recommended programme - sucess which is great and also to ask you these questions. I look forward to hearing from you
Regards
Sandy |
