Hi,
I recently purchased the face mask to treat my facial hyperhidrosis. The manual I received included max current settings for the hands, feet and armpits but not for the face. What is the max current I can use on the face? Also, the face mask doesn't cover the nose. Is it safe to use any cloth soaked in water to treat the nose as well?
Thanks. |

Facial Iontophoresis:
There are no max. settings in the manual, it only states a "first trial setting" without risking something harmful.
For all treatments the max. settings stated by Idromed for example: 25 mA for feet, or hands and feet simultaneous treatments, 15 mA for hands and 5 mA for underarm, are borders that shall prevent burns or other problems, but they are "free floating" . 15 mA for hands for example could be much too for one person, and for the other they are laughably easy to stand.
The REAL max. current is, when you feel a tingling sensation from the Iontophoresis current and have no skin or other irritations through a too high current you won't feel it but the skin won't be able to stand it (although there are several safety features in our devices that sould take care of this, it is your responsibility to adjust a current that will not harm your skin).
Because of this we have posted a special guide for general iontophoresis current settings
The nose is cut out for a better cover and fit for the facial skin, the current will flow over the nose too, so you should not worry that the nose will be the only part that is still sweating if you've got success with Iontophoresis _________________ You are welcome...
